Eurostar
Eurostar(former Thalys) provides commercial passenger rail transport services on behalf of SNCB and SNCF to the following destinations: Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam and Cologne. Eurostar is a joint service offered by the Belgian, French and Dutch railways.
Eurostar is a member of Railteam, a cooperation between the principal railway providers in Europe, the Community of European Railway and Infrastructure Companies (CER); and the International Union of Railways (UIC).
From its inception, Eurostar has been a major project as the first rail enterprise offering high speed service to 4 european countries, without interruption and border charges. Its state of the art technology is unique in Europe with a total of 26 lines, including 9 lines connecting Paris/Bruxelles/Amsterdam and 17 lines connecting Paris/Bruxelles/Cologne/Amsterdam, capable of running in all 4 countries: they are adapted with 4 electrification systems (quadricurrent traction) and equipped of 9 signalisation systems mounted with the new European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS).
