Air-Rail: A Single Booking for Your Train and Flight Reservations

The network of high-speed trains is constantly expanding and ensures that large European cities are increasingly well connected. Airlines often also offer high-speed train journeys as an alternative to short European flights.

Travel agents from all over the world can now book tickets for Eurostar between Belgium, and the Netherlands. Thanks to AirRail, train ticket and flight reservations can now be combined.

Passengers will receive electronic tickets for both the train and the flight reservation. An additional advantage is that you only have to pay airport tax once.

How to go from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport Station

Schiphol’s Airport train station is located on the underground level of the airport. You can pick up a free baggage trolley from the platform. Via Schiphol Plaza, you can walk straight to the departure or arrival hall.

Baggage Policy

The baggage policy for AirRail travellers will follow the baggage policy of the flight company.

For safety reasons, the corridors and doors of the train must not be obstructed and luggage must not be tied or padlocked to the racks.

If you are travelling with a child, you may take a pushchair on board free of charge, in addition to the luggage items mentioned above. The pushchair must be folded, before boarding, and placed in the storage areas of the carriage in which you are seated.

Conditions of Travel

In the case of delays/cancellations, the following conditions of travel are in place:

1. The conditions of travel are always according to the carrier (rail/air) on which the customer is travelling.
2. The airline issuing the ticket (including the rail sector) is only acting as the agent of the railway.
3. In the case of delay and missed connections when a ticket including two sectors is issued, the liability is always on the delaying carrier. However, in AccesRail agreements with airlines, the airlines are requested to rebook the passenger on the next available flight without any cost.
4. In the case of code-share, both sectors belong to the airline. The airline is liable for both sectors.
5. Requests for refunds must be initiated at the point of sale.
